EurAV joins Drogheda Chamber

Sep 25, 2024

When one thinks of a Chamber of Commerce, one probably doesn’t think of non-profit organisations. Similarly, when one considers community projects, one is unlikely to think of Chambers of Commerce. Yet, in the first instance, businesses survive when they invest in their communities and earn the respect and loyalty of customers, while any community project that doesn’t recognise businesses as part of the community can’t honestly call itself inclusive. It will be no surprise, therefore, to find that EurAV has become a member of Drogheda and District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC).

The DDCC team arrived on Fair Street and were shown around the green screen studio, office and training room. A temporary power cut to the street didn’t derail the ribbon cutting ceremony which saw EurAV become the newest non-profit organisation member.

“We’re delighted to be part of the Chamber,” said EurAV executive director, Declan Cassidy. Since opening our office on Fair Street we’ve been networking and it seems that whenever there is something positive happening within the business community, the Chamber are deeply involved.”

Indeed, when EurAV began hosting international visitors as part of their transnational social projects, DDCC were able to put them in touch with people to provide catering, walking tours and room hire.

“We’re also planning to launch an online TV station for Drogheda in the near future and are hoping to shoot a TV series about Drogheda,” explained Cassidy. “The Chamber has already been very supportive of these plans.”
