EurAV has taken the plunge and signed up for TikTok. And, the TikTok family seems to be welcoming the organisation with open arms. EurAV director, Declan Cassidy – himself a well established TikTokker with over 20,000 followers – admits that he’s pleasantly surprised by the reception.
“TikTok is all about personalities rather than organisations or businesses,” he explained, “So we’ve been slow to set up a profile for EurAV. But our first two posts clocked up over 2000 views in the first hour – which is really decent – so I’m hopeful.”
TikTok is a favourite with the so-called ‘Gen Z’ younger demographic, so it provides a way for EurAV to interact with young people that platforms such as Facebook or LinkedIn don’t.
“We’ll be posting different content on TikTok to that which we post on our other social accounts,” explained Declan. “The clips tend to be short and impactful. It’s a way to get messages across that might lead to people checking out our website and going deeper into the subjects we raise.”
